Der kleine Prinz/The Little Prince

Ich habe im April angefangen, „まいにちドイツ語“ von NHK zu hören. Aber ehrlich gesagt, es hat mir nicht gut gefallen. Ich habe nur ein bisschen zugehört. Ich habe das Lehrbuch für Juni nicht gekauft.

Ich habe früher vor allem Sprechen gelernt. Aber ich wollte immer ein Buch auf Deutsch lesen. Letzte Woche war ich in einer großen Buchhandlung in der Nachbarstadt. Dort habe ich ein Buch gefunden. Es war teuer, aber ich habe es spontan gekauft. Es war ein Buch mit Deutsch und Japanisch. Ich war sehr froh. Ich dachte, vielleicht hat Gott mir das Buch gezeigt, damit ich lernen kann. 😀

Ich habe das Buch nicht auf Japanisch gelesen. Ich weiß nur ein bisschen über die Geschichte. Aber ich erinnere mich an einen Satz: „Wichtiges sieht man nicht mit den Augen.“ Das hat mich sehr beeindruckt. Ich denke, das ist wie in der Bibel. In der Bibel steht, dass wir auf unsichtbare Dinge schauen sollen. Liebe, Vertrauen und die Seele sind wichtiger als Dinge, die man sehen kann.

Denn wir sehen nicht auf das Sichtbare, sondern auf das Unsichtbare; denn was sichtbar ist, das ist zeitlich; was aber unsichtbar ist, das ist ewig.

Ich möchte das Buch auf Deutsch lesen. Es wird viel Zeit brauchen, aber ich will mein Bestes geben. 😀

I started listening to NHK's "まいにちドイツ語" in April, but to be honest, I found it rather disappointing. I ended up just half-heartedly listening to the casual conversations between the lecturer and the guests, so I decided not to buy the June issue of the textbook.

Since my experience with learning German has mostly focused on speaking, I've always wanted to read something in German. The other day, I found this book at a large bookstore in the next town. Even though it was expensive, I bought it on impulse. I was really happy to see that it was a German–Japanese bilingual edition, and I felt as if God might have led me to it for the sake of my studies. 😀

I haven’t read the book in Japanese, so I only remember the general storyline. But I was especially struck by the phrase, "What is essential is invisible to the eye." It made me feel that this message is very much in line with what the Bible teaches—that it's important to focus not on visible phenomena or material things, but on essential things like love, trust, and the soul.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (2 Corinthians 4:18, NIV)

So, although it will probably take me quite a long time, I'm determined to carefully read through the German version. 😀
